Daniel is an attorney practicing with the Law Firm of Tatum & Atkinson, PLLC.  Daniel is originally from Ohio prior to moving to North Carolina in 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina and his Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University.

During his entire legal career, Daniel has worked to assist injured and disabled individuals. Prior to and while attending law school, Daniel worked for a nationwide Social Security law firm before joining a statewide firm to solely focus on representing individuals who sustained injuries while at work. He is certified as a specialist by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization in the field of Workers' Compensation Law and is licensed to represent clients in North Carolina.  Daniel has represented numerous claimants at all hearing levels before the North Carolina Industrial Commission in order for them to obtain the benefits they deserve.

Daniel is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and currently resides in Raleigh with his wife, Liz, and their blind rescue dog, Leo.  Outside of work, Daniel is an amateur chef, car enthusiast and self-taught mechanic, who typically has at least one active project around the house.
